A Tribute to our Beloved Horses.......
 "Charlie"
My wonderful black percheron, Charlie, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 from Potomac Horse Fever.
Charlie was the lead horse in my first team of percherons. He was a joy to own and had the sweetest disposition.....always giving whatever was asked and never took advantage. Charlie loved to plow and never stepped out of the furrow. If he did, all I had to say, "Charlie, get in that furrow" and right in he went! He was a terrific leader to Barney and also Beth and Belle, when hooked four abreast, as they often were.
In the above photo, Charlie and Barney won "Best Matched Team" at the 2009 Culpeper Fun Games.
